Recent happenings and new acquisition

On 6th July 2012 there was a loud noise at the eastern side of my house. A big display case collapsed because of broken legs resulted from rust and corrosion. Two smaller cases on top of it followed suit. The damage was extensive. James Bond my new dog rushed to the scene to investigate:

On 28 July 2012, my brother assembled a new display case for me. This is Ikea's product, 1.20m x 1.38m x 0.40m, all glasses are safety glasses:

On 4 August 2012, my brother assembled another display case for me. One shelf is in wrong color and will be replaced later:

This compartment is for big scale models (1:9):

On 8 August 2012, I got a "Deal of the Decade" from a fellow modeler named Kritapas who a few years ago sold me three built ships at very cheap price (USS Gato Class Submarine 1:72, German U-Boat type VIIC 1:72 and King George V 1:350, all for less than $60). He said he will have to move to a nearby province and he wanted to sell me his remaining ship collection along with acrylic display cases for most of them. I got 13 ships, 12 of which are 1:350 scale and one in 1:450 scale (Akagi), plus four acrylic display cases, all for less than $500. What a deal! My sincere thanks to Khun Kritapas for his generosity:

Some built & unbuilt parts. I later on applied decals to all 12 B-25B and installed them on USS Hornet, but will have someone build the SBD-3 and F4F-4 for USS Saratoga:

On 16 August 2012, all four new acrylic display cases are now on top of other four display cases at the eastern side of my house:
