29 October 2008 : Today I proudly present Model Maniac Page 44 - Part D which is the fourth Part for this month. It's a special Part in that while it shows the last batch of works from "Tuk" (Art Instructor's elder brother) who since early this year has got an office job and has no time for modeling, it also shows the first batch of works from "Toom" (Art Instructor's eldest brother) who has recently moved back to Bangkok and started working for me. These guys are real good at modeling, I think they're a modeling family!. "Tuk" presents the USS Arleigh Burke DDG51 1:350 and US WWII Liberty Ship in the same scale plus a small diorama "The Goliath". "Toom" presents the OT-26 Russian WWII flamethrower tank, the JMSDF Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) 1:144 and the German type XXI U-2518 1:144, plus a WWII US Navy LCM(3) Landing craft in 1:72 scale.

And same as the last three dozen Parts, all pictures in this Part were taken using "time exposure" technique so as to achieve highest depth of field, i.e., using a tripod, setting shutter priority and selecting shutter speed that gives the highest f-stop (f19-f22) which is usually around 1/4 - 1 second, and setting self-timer for shutter release. Lighting is natural, pictures were taken outdoor under the shades during daytime. Pictures were scanned directly from film by the photo shop, written on to a CD and resized by me. As always, I hope you'll enjoy viewing!

Comments and suggestions are welcome in my Model Maniac Forum
